Shutter Island On Top Of The World

Shutter Island has now reached $294 million worldwide, pushing it past The Departed, which only made $290 million worldwide. This makes Shutter Island Scorsese’s top grossing movie at the worldwide box office.

While Shutter Island only made $127.3 million domestically, the film grossed $166.5 million overseas. Domestically, The Departed is still Scorsese’s highest growing film, but the highest grossing film worldwide for Marty, is Shutter Island.

New Planet of The Apes Film Will Star James Franco

The Planet of The Apes series is receiving a reboot in the form of Rise of The Apes. RIse of the Apes, being directed by Rupert Wyatt, is going to serve as a prequel to the series.

Some of you may know Rupert Wyatt from his 2008 film, The Escapist, starring Brian Cox. While I did enjoy The Escapist, it was just a mediocre film.

Aside from Wyatt, we now we have another name attached to Rise of The Apes.

Akiva Goldsman To Make Directing Debut With Man And Wife

Akiva Goldsman, a well known producer and writer in Hollywood, has announced he will make his directorial debut with the film, Man and Wife.

The film revolves around an assassin who falls in love with the family he is hired to kill. The plot seems interesting enough and with Akiva Goldsman directing, the film could turn out to be a winner.

Untitled J.J. Abrams Film Has A Writer

J.J. Abrams, one of the hottest directors in Hollywood right now, is currently working on developing an untitled heist flick. Based on an article from Wired Magazine, the film will tell the story of a massive jewel robbery in Antwerp, one of the biggest diamond heists of all time.

New Megamind Trailer Will Blow Your Mind

Yes! I am happy to tell you guys that we have a new trailer for Megamind. I am so excited for this movie. Being brought to us by Dreamworks, Megamind is the new CG movie about superheroes featuring an all-star cast including Tina Fey, Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill and Will Ferrell.

Feast Your Eyes On Three New Predators Posters

Today we have the privilege of getting the chance to view three new posters for the upcoming Predators film starring Adrien Brody. Being directed by Nimrod Antal, the film is being called a sequel to both Predator and Predator 2.

Another Record For Avatar?

The records just don’t stop coming for Avatar. Not only has it broken just about every box office record, including the highly sought after “highest grossing film of all time” record but now Avatar had to go and break another record.

Avatar is closing in on The Dark Knight’s 13 week record for total home video sales.
