Dead Man Down Trailer Starring Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace

I feel like I see the trailer for Dead Man Down almost every time I set foot in a theatre as of late, but I realized I had not yet posted it on the site… so here it is. Colin Farrell plays a hitman who is blackmailed by a woman (Noomi Rapace) into helping her seek revenge on his boss. I’m still not quite sure what to think about this movie. Rapace is reteaming with Niels Arden Oplev, the director of the original The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which could be interesting. On the other hand, the trailer goes out of its way to make it look like a pretty over-the-top action flick.
It’s worth noting that this is a production of WWE Studios, and the trailer I’ve seen in theatres has the WWE logo prominently displayed, although it is strangely absent from online versions. That also makes it a bit hard to take the movie seriously, although maybe that’s not entirely fair considering that they are attempting to branch out beyond low budget movies that star wrestlers. Either way, I don’t think I’ll be rushing out to see this movie, but I’ll definitely be curious to see what the reviews look like next month. Dead Man Down hits theatres on March 8th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
