Red 2 Trailer Starring Bruce Willis and John Malkovich

Hey, look… it’s the first trailer for the “high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit” Red! Out of all the comic book adaptations that should have been most likely to get a sequel, the original Red was probably at the bottom of the list… especially since the comic series was only three-issues long. I can’t say I really understand why Red was such a big hit, but I suppose it has something to do with the inherent appeal in seeing old people wield machine guns.

As expected, Red 2 looks like more light, inoffensive fluff. This time around Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) is in the director’s chair, but that I seriously doubt anyone will notice a difference. Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren and Mary-Louise Parker are all reprising their roles, but they’ve added Catherine Zeta-Jones, Anthony Hopkins and Lee Byung-hun to the mix as well. Red 2 hits theatres on August 2nd; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

    What is that i watched the die hard 5 trailer and then red 2 and thought, what the ..ck is Hellen Mirren doing in a Die Hard movie, and what is the wanne be look like hanibal Lector in his sell guy doing in it? And why is a Fast and Forgettable scene cut into it?
