Upstream Color Full Theatrical Trailer

Following up on the two teaser trailers that were released before Christmas, a full theatrical trailer for Shane Carruth’s Upstream Color has debuted online this week. It is longer but for the most part still just as cryptic… which is fine by me. I think most of the people who would be interested in this movie probably don’t even need to see a single frame of footage, they just need to hear that it is from the director of Primer. Done. Sold!

The new trailer gets across the idea that this is more of a love story, but beyond that we are simply treated to some interesting, at times abstract, imagery. The movie will premiere at Sundance this week, but fortunately the rest of us won’t have to wait that long to see it. It is being self-distributed by Carruth himself and will hit select theatres in April followed by a VOD release. Check out the new trailer after the jump and let us know what you think!

I just don’t know what to make of this movie, but because the writer/director is who it is, I’ll give it its due, and watch it.
