No Film Junk Podcast This Week (We’ll Be Back for Halloween)

I already posted an update on our Facebook page, but just wanted to reiterate for people who missed it: there will be no new Film Junk Podcast this week. Jay was originally supposed to be back from the Flyway Film Festival in time to see Paranormal Activity 4 and review it with us but the timing didn’t quite work out. He still wanted to take part, so we decided to just push the review back to next week and combine it with our Halloween episode.
The good news is that the George A. Romero premium podcast should still be coming later this week, so keep an eye out for that. Also, if you want to prepare for the Halloween episode, we’re going to be watching a few older horror flicks as well including Candyman and Arachnophobia. Follow us on Letterboxd and Twitter to see what else we end up watching individually during the week and feel free to let us know what you’re planning on watching too. Happy hauntings!

Dag. Thanks for the heads up. The only Romero movie I’ve seen is Night of the Living Dead. I’m gonna have to catch up before the premium.
I also plan on watching Dog Soldiers this week.
Posted by Jack Burton on October 22nd, 2012You guys should review Sinister.
Posted by Britney on October 22nd, 2012You guys should review Sinister.
Posted by Britney on October 22nd, 2012Sinister review please.
Posted by Jason Cartagena on October 22nd, 2012Yeah, don’t waste your time with PA4 Those movies dont make for great reviews. Watch Sinister, its an awesome flick and will lead to better conversion.
Posted by Gord on October 22nd, 2012Sounds like everyone wants us to review Sinister! Unfortunately we already saw PA4, so that’s probably not going to happen. If you have any older films you’d like us to discuss, we might consider it.
Posted by Sean on October 22nd, 2012Talk some Scream quadrilogy cred. Say what you will about declining story quality, they kept the cast together for 15 years!
Posted by Jack Burton on October 22nd, 2012Like I said on Facebook, this is a great opportunity for Frank and Greg to start up the Ball Junk podcast! I need their balls in my earholes.
Posted by Kasper on October 22nd, 2012@Kasper You’re a real hero.
Posted by Jamie on October 22nd, 2012Great opportunity to download a premium podcast this week.
Posted by Brendan on October 22nd, 2012I was thinking Ball Junk would be good too. Sean could moderate the pilot episode.
Posted by rjdelight on October 22nd, 2012Fucking guys make us fall in love with them and then they treat us like this.
Do The Grudge USA (not Ju-on, its sound design sucks). Frank would freak out.
Posted by Tum Tum Tyranus on October 22nd, 2012I am not going to point out for the billionth time that you have – again – missed a great opportunity to bring The Reed back to the show.. I am not going to say that because indeed I don’t want to hear the “We asked him but he declined us” quote one more time. But.. I prithee Do force him back for the Django Unchained show.. Do it for the children..
Posted by kyri on October 22nd, 2012@Kyri – We’re not missing any opportunities. Reed has no desire to the show anymore. We’ve asked. He declines. His choice.
Posted by Greg on October 22nd, 2012Perfect time for a break, you guys deserve it. It’s gotta be a pain sometimes…
Posted by Bryan on October 23rd, 2012How about some real horror classics like Rosemary’s Baby or The Exorcist.
Posted by JohnnyBlazed on October 23rd, 2012Please, please, please review Smiley… it looks terrible and I want Jay to rip it apart: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2025667/
Posted by Colin on October 23rd, 2012Sorry I didn’t get Jay back to the airport fast enough. Actually, we’re lucky we made it at all with the sleep deprivation and all.
Anyway, look forward to next week’s Halloween show! Though yeah, I agree with posters above. SINISTER would probably be a lot more of a Halloween choice than Arachnophobia.
Posted by Andrew James on October 23rd, 2012After some discussion last night, we’re replacing Arachnophobia with The Blob remake (although I’m still going to watch Arachnophobia personally).
I’m interested in revisiting Rosemary’s Baby but I kinda want to wait for next week’s Criterion release on Baby Blu.
Posted by Sean on October 23rd, 2012MMmmm. Rosemary on Criterion Blu will likely be really sweet! Too bad they’re not getting it out in time for Halloween.
Posted by Andrew James on October 23rd, 2012There’s always Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
Posted by Nat Almirall on October 23rd, 2012Yes,or Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla. It’s not horror,I just love the title.
Posted by Bryson on October 24th, 2012Will watch Freaks, Nosferato (Herzog) , Nightmare III and then to reach a climax …. a mexican wrestler flick (MST3K style). Hope to be up and ready for the real horror of mexican wrestler flicks.
