Giveaway: Win a Copy of The Artist and a Sony Blu-ray Player!

With Michel Hazanavicius’ The Artist hitting DVD and Blu-ray this week, it just so happens that we’ve got a related giveaway that I’m guessing a few of you might be interested in. Redbox is offering up a special Blu-ray Prize Pack to one lucky Film Junk reader that includes not only a copy of The Artist but also a Sony Blu-ray Player (BDP-S390)!
To enter, simply send your name and mailing address to filmjunk@gmail.com with “The Artist Giveaway” in the subject line. We’ll randomly pick a winner from all the entries we receive and notify them by next Tuesday (July 3rd).
Special features on the disc include:
- Q&A with the Filmmakers and Cast
- “The Artist: The Making Of A Hollywood Love Story” featurette
- “Hollywood As A Character: The Locations of The Artist” featurette
- Blooper reel
The contest comes courtesy of the good folks at Redbox, who want to remind you that The Artist (along with many other great movies) can also be rented from one of their 30,000+ locations for just $1.20 per day.
Note: This contest is open to U.S. residents only.
Good luck!

Posted by Tony on June 26th, 2012That Academy Awards banner at the top is fucking atrocious as well as insulting.
Posted by Steve on June 26th, 2012Interesting that they had to throw in a blu ray player to promote the film, the most ordinary film ever to win best picture.
Posted by Gerry on June 26th, 2012I know that’s you Reed
Posted by Drew on June 26th, 2012You can tell by the use of the word ‘ordinary.’
Posted by Steve on June 27th, 2012I believe that Reed has trademarked the word ordinary™…
Aha, I knew it. Typed out ordinary™ and that little “tm” automatically appeared.
Brutal™.
Damnit.
Posted by Colin on June 27th, 2012Still waiting to watch it but it seems the dog will make it worth it.
Posted by vicki brown on June 27th, 2012I was waiting for Gerry to say he wasn’t me, but since he hasn’t, I have to say he (or she) isn’t me.
I haven’t seen The Artist, yet, but I like gimmicks, so I would probably like the film.
A Blu-ray player as a prize? I wish I was American.

Posted by Robert Weaver on June 27th, 2012The whole US citizens stuff is a bummer. I guess it’s because their business is only open in the US?
Posted by csidle on June 28th, 2012Thanks for the opportunity
Posted by Fred on June 28th, 2012If you want a cheap blu ray player with the picture quality of an expensive Oppo blu ray player Reed then check out this link to a review of a Panasonic blu ray player.

Posted by Gerry on June 28th, 2012The only good thing about The Artist is that Berenice Bejo looks hot in it.
It’s still a one time watch despite this.
