That’s My Boy Red Band Trailer Starring Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg

Fresh off his record-breaking collection of Razzie nominations, Adam Sandler is back with another movie that looks like it will probably be another stinker. That’s My Boy finds current SNL star Andy Samberg playing Sandler’s estranged son, a successful hedge fund investor who is about to get married. When his father, a fifty-something party animal, runs into trouble with the IRS, he tries to reconnect with his son and ends up disrupting his life.

Judging from the red band trailer, it seems like Adam Sandler and Happy Madison Productions realized that R-rated comedies are hot right now, so they decided to try and make something as filthy as possible. Just what we need… yet another comedy trying to be The Hangover! It feels extremely forced and it features cameos from Ian Ziering, Vanilla Ice and New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, but on the bright side the script was rewritten by Ken Marino and David Wain. That’s My Boy hits theatres on June 15th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

  1. This flick could go either way, a total embarrassment or a total hit. I am on the fence for this one.

  2. I liked the ending, “you pucked on my dress and then fucked it?” – hahaha, gold!

It could very well be one of those movies though, where all the good stuff was shown in the trailer. Both Andy Samberg and Adam Sandler are wildcards, so yeah, could go either way.

  3. It’s so easy to hop on the hate-wagon and dismiss this without much thought. But this is one of the worst trailers I’ve ever seen. I really like Samberg but this trailer hadn’t a single laugh.

  4. ^Wow, I wrote that before seeing the other comments. I guess there isn’t much of a ‘hate-wagon’ on this site.

  5. yeah that actually looks pretty funny..

  6. Well, after Bucky Larson and Jack and Jill…there’s no where to go but up right?

  7. The little voice Sandler is using is kind of annoying, but other than that not half bad.

  8. I am not a Adam Sandler hater but I just frowned all through this trailer. This film looks fucking terrible.

  9. Trying too hard.

  10. Adam Sandler’s voice is pretty annoying in this, but it doesn’t look half bad.

  11. Whoa that was….bad. Did like the Boob catching scene…now that something I have definitely never seen in a movie! If they did that in one take that girl is special!
