Movie Poster Round-Up: Prometheus, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, How to Build a Time Machine

I’ve been falling behind on my movie poster round-ups as of late, so this one is a real doozy. But what better way to kick things off than with an exclusive poster for Jay’s own upcoming film How to Build a Time Machine designed by Jesse Philips? The good news is you can even get your hands on this one if you donate to the film’s on-going DocIgnite campaign. Other noteworthy one-sheets this time around include debut posters for The Bourne Legacy, Resident Evil: Retribution, and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, plus the first “official” poster for The Expendables 2 and some early promo art for Machete Kills.

Some of the cooler designs include a poster for We Need to Talk About Kevin that was clearly inspired by Rosemary’s Baby, a retro-styled piece for Lee Daniels’ The Paperboy, and some classic Hammer artwork for The Woman in Black. If that’s not enough, we also have a handful of cool Mondo posters and a 3D animated poster for The Avengers. Which ones are your favourites? Check out the full gallery after the jump.

How to Build a Time Machine, the first Planet of the Apes poster, and Kill List are all great. Also – Casa de mi Padre is pretty cool.

Drive poster is way cooler than the DVD cover.

Wow “The Woman in Black”, great homage to the old Universal horrors.

How to Build a Time Machine poster is fuckin fantastic! Really digging the The Woman In Black one too (gotta see it!). Btw, I think that Drive poster isn’t official… it was done by one of them mondo poster guys.
