I do like that poster.. I hope the cover of the blu-ray is pure black and then that.
Posted by patrik on October 18th, 2011Very happy that Cap’n Video’s 20th anniversary special will be on the blu-ray. I was hoping it would be.
Posted by Film Ape on October 18th, 2011Depressed to hear Frank refer to Joel Edgerton as ‘Uncle Owen’ still. You guys need to get together and watch ‘The Square (which he co wrote) and Animal Kingdom to get a new reference point!
Posted by Jonathan on October 18th, 2011The Square is a seriously fun crime flick. Recommended from this end…
Posted by Kurt on October 18th, 2011So will the filmjunk episodes now be shorter due to the Bonus Podcast.
I like the 3hour ear numbing episodes
Posted by UTG on October 18th, 2011Jay doesn’t and didn’t EVER dress up for Halloween??? What a stick in the mud!
Posted by Jason Martynowski on October 18th, 2011Was your version of Happy People completely dubbed? I don’t recall any dubbing; it was fully subtitled when it was shown here. Great movie regardless.
Posted by KeithTalent on October 18th, 2011@Jason Martynowski..
Mothers clothes = poor man’s Halloween costume.
Posted by kyri on October 18th, 2011Speaking of Frank going as Frankenberry, I head-slapped myself the other day when I realized Frank’s image on the FilmJunk logo was the frankfurter.
Posted by Nat Almirall on October 18th, 2011I would be happy to lead the charge of a Chicago Filmjunk Meetup. It would be cool to get something centered around Beauty Day playing at a local fest/art house or DVD release. Let me know if you want me to get the film to some of the local film fest people, or cord. with other active filmjunk chitowners

Posted by rus in chicago on October 19th, 2011or of course blackhawks vs canadians…
Posted by rus in chicago on October 19th, 2011Greg, no need for a reunion, Golden Earring is actually still together. They haven’t been to tour North America in thirty years but they are still playing in their homeland.
Posted by theocean85 on October 19th, 2011Have you guys ever played The Thing for PS2?
It was a direct sequel to the movie and was really good.

The interface options of figuring out on which NPC was The Thing really good. I’d recommend a play through.
Posted by Steve Kasan on October 19th, 2011Yeah I played a bit of it for Xbox… didn’t get very far but I remember it being better than most licensed games.
Posted by Sean on October 19th, 2011If all of these Marvel movies suck so badly, yet seem to make millions and millions of dollars, and spawn sequel after sequel, I think someone, somewhere, is doing something right.
These are basically first generation films and Marvel Studios opened up fairly recently,so I think this is a good start. If the rumors are true and Marvel is really as tight, budget-wise, as some people claim, then that might account for these movies not being top-tier, but I still think they will get better with time.
None of these super hero movies are going to win an Oscar or an Emmy or whatever, but they entertain, and that’s their main purpose, as far as I can tell.
Posted by Nelson on October 19th, 2011@Sean, now they should have gone with the story in that game for an on-screen sequel. Maybe you should revisit it and play till the end. As you said, for a movie licensed game it was extremely well done!
Posted by Steve Kasan on October 19th, 2011I’ve liked all the Marvel Studios films enough. Iron Man 2 was probably the worst one, and even that was still Ok.
Didn’t a couple of you give Captain America 4 stars?
Posted by Anthony on October 22nd, 2011I’ve liked all the Marvel flicks aswel – even Iron Man 2, although yeah, it was only so-so. I loved the first Iron Man though, which is clearly the best of the bunch.
Posted by Kasper on October 23rd, 2011hey guys!
love the idea with the premium episodes!!!! also love bandcamp!!!!
please do more of these. do one every day i will buy them all
could coul please record a premium podcast for halloween?
i am thinking of a podcast about horromovies in general (not just the halloween-movie serie like everywhere else). would love to hear something like this!!!
another suggestion for a premium episode would be a special about tv-series.
