First Official Photo of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises
After yesterday’s first image of Superman from Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, Warner Brothers is continuing to tease us with the very first photo of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman from The Dark Knight Rises. At least I think she’s supposed to be Catwoman… I don’t remember Catwoman riding motorcycles very often but what do I know? If anything, she appears to be more Batgirl than Catwoman here.
As you can see, she is clearly riding the Batpod that first appeared in The Dark Knight, and there isn’t anything particularly cat-like about her costume. Perhaps this is Nolan’s way of adding realism to the character or perhaps the character is being completely overhauled for the film. And what’s with those weird goggles she is wearing? Something tells me that is not a part of her official get-up, although the picture definitely creates more questions than it answers. What do you think? Is this what you had in mind for Catwoman? He could have at least given her something that resembled some fuckin cat ears (for tradition). If she doesn’t have a whip or at least some claws, I’m gonna be pissed.
something tells me that her anti hero name will honestly have nothing to do with a feline (I doubt she’ll move like a cat, purr like a cat,
or have “9 lives”)… she’ll only have the definition of a “Cat Burglar”. In this pic, I can only imagine that she “cat burglared” the bat pod from the Bat Cave.
I somewhat expected this type of look for the character, once I found out Catwoman was gonna be in it, so I guess I’m not that surprised. Either was I’m sure the movie is still gonna be good.

Not digging the goggles either, but I think that’s only for when she’s on the Batpod. I hope they give her a mask of some sort, or else she could very well be the same as Scar Jo’s character in Iron-Man.
The set photos look a little better though.

Posted by Captain N on August 5th, 2011Maybe this is just the pre-catwoman costume. Hey, the batsuit doesn’t look that great, but it hasn’t hurt the films too much.
That bike is a death trap standing still and in motion on level pavement. Riding down stairs without a helmet is asking for trouble. Maybe the bike is on wires or has outriggers which have been digitally removed and the stunt double is strapped in to prevent skull fragmentation.

That picture looked more like Bizarro to me. but then again i am extremely biased, as The Dark Knight is one of my all time favorite movies and I completely trust Nolan with this franchise. The picture isn’t the traditional idea of Catwoman, but I am sure it works in Nolan’s take on the Batman universe.

Though that looking like the bat-pod is gonna be one hell of a bate for speculation.
