YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ^_^
Posted by Henrik on March 15th, 2011Gotta love these double podcast weeks.
Posted by rjdelight on March 15th, 2011So I come to filmjunk planning on listening to an old episode while I edit and this greets me. Awesome.
Posted by Tomoo on March 15th, 2011FINALLY! Game Junk has become my favorite gaming podcast. Film Junk is by far my favorite podcast of any type. Love the chemistry between Frank and Sean.
Posted by Jay Hayabusa on March 15th, 2011Sean & co. I agree the chat issues have been horrible but in the menus you can customize your costume to have the look of any of the pieces of armor you have picked up and equipped. I can’t recall the name of the screen but I think it’s to the right of the equipment screen where you can change armor customize it in game and lock spa ific pieces to keep a desired look. Frank, check it out and you can restore the look of your toon to they way you want her. The game has it’s issues but it’s still fun, especially on the pvp servers.
Posted by Narby on March 15th, 2011Frank, was the Ballad of Gay Tony helecopter mission the one where you assault the yacht and then have to chase three speed boats?
Posted by Film Ape on March 15th, 2011helicopter
Posted by Film Ape on March 15th, 2011I am very much looking forward to this. My fat ass has started training for the Pat Tillman run here in AZ in a month, and I’m in need of something to listen to as I’m having a heart attack on the side of the road.
Posted by Phil on March 15th, 2011Dude get Chian on this next time!
Posted by Napalm on March 15th, 2011Frank: you’ve gotta bite the bullet on a Virtual Boy and a bunch of games… I think it’d make an awesome compliment to your opinions on the 3DS next episode. Since you’re such a Star Fox fanboy, I’d love to hear your take on Red Alarm.
DO IT FOR THE GOOD OF THE PODCAST!
Posted by Colin on March 15th, 2011Another great episode. When you were talking about how a sequel shouldn’t change the feel/dynamic of the original, the only games that came to mind were Pikmin and Metroid, specifically the Prime series.
Posted by bard on March 15th, 2011What about Zelda II?
Lawyered.
Posted by Colin on March 15th, 2011This kinda goes with the “What We Watched” segment of FilmJunk, but it is game related. Now that Sean and Frank have seen The Room, they can play the video game adaptation!

Enjoy.
Posted by Gil on March 15th, 2011@Gil This is AMAZING, thanks Gil.
@Film Ape Yes that’s the mission, living HELL.
Posted by dirrrtyfrank on March 15th, 2011How can Battlefield 3 not be mentioned!?
Posted by La Menthe on March 16th, 2011I guess i can understand Bf3 wasn’t mentioned anywhere, not even in Top 5 Most Anticipated Games of 2011 (or even honarable mention!?!). All the games you mentioned are sequeles to relatively new games, and it really defines your relationship in the Game world.
Posted by La Menthe on March 16th, 2011I don’t think any of us are particularly big on online multiplayer games. I’ve enjoyed some of the past Battlefield games, but I’m not sure I’ll be playing Battlefield 3.
Posted by Sean on March 16th, 2011Right after we finished recording, I realized I had forgotten to mention Battlefield 3. I haven’t played any of the past games, but for some reason, the hype machine has me interested in this one. I’m with Dwyer though, i’m not very big into multiplayer either. The only shooter i’ve put any time into multiplayer was killzone 2…and that was only for about a week until everyone started kicking my @SS.
Posted by HuckCity on March 16th, 2011@La Menthe
How is Battlefield 3 NOT a “sequel to relatively new game”?
Posted by dirrrtyfrank on March 16th, 2011Frank, if you really love physical “consistency” between sequels, don’t even bother watching Soderbergh’s Che.
Posted by Gil on March 16th, 2011Hey Frank, don’t forget some alteration of game play can be really beneficial for a series.
Wouldn’t you say Mass Effect 2 was changed for the better over the original Mass Effect?
Posted by Matt on March 16th, 2011@Matt
That’s to assume that the first Mass Effect was actually a terrific or near perfect game.
Posted by Gil on March 16th, 2011@Sean
The team from Quest that did Tactics Ogre and Ogre Battle did produce and develop Final Fantasy Tactics for the PlayStation. And I believe another team from Quest produced Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for the GBA, though I’m not too sure.
Posted by Gil on March 16th, 2011@Gil
You’re correct… Quest was absorbed by Square in 2002; previously in 1995, a bunch of Quest guys jumped ship to to Square to make FFT and Vagrant Story.
Posted by Colin on March 16th, 2011@Colin
Damn. I forgot about Vagrant Story. I’m glad they added that to the PSN. I gotta purchase that.
Posted by Gil on March 16th, 2011Sean, you need to start posting the music choices!
Posted by Henrik on March 16th, 2011Russian Circles – Fathom
Posted by Sean on March 16th, 2011Souleye – Passion for Exploring (from the VVVVVV sndtrk)
Just finding out now that Aerosmith – Taste of India was not the outro music.
PISSED
Posted by dirrrtyfrank on March 17th, 2011@dirtiestoffranks haha, when Dwy posted the out music, i knew you were going to be pissed.
Posted by HuckCity on March 17th, 2011I think Frank and Sean should buy the 3DS on release, and record a special, shorter podcast where they give their first-day impressions of the system!
Could be a nice holdover too, if we we’re 2 months between each show! So hard…
Posted by Henrik on March 17th, 2011Love to hear that Frank likes Taste of India. The entire Nine Lives album is unfairly shit on. I frickin’ love Falling in Love is Hard On the Knees, Hole in My Soul, Pink, Full Circle… It’s a great album.
Posted by theocean85 on March 17th, 2011I think Frank actually gets hard talking about this stuff.
Posted by Swarez on March 18th, 2011@Swarez: He does. I have proof
Posted by HuckCity on March 21st, 2011Coming to this episode late–what was the song you used for the intro?
Posted by Arrogance on March 23rd, 2011Enjoyed the podcast, though it sounds very much in the review that you hated the game while liking it
You guys jumped into the parts you hated and spent precious little in the parts you liked.
Would you review a game you like next time around, its more embiggening for the listener’s spirit.
Keep up the good work
