More Super Bowl Trailers: Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Thor, Super 8
As we all know, Captain America wasn’t the only movie being advertised during this year’s Super Bowl. There were at least a dozen different flicks with 30 second TV spots, many of which simply recycled footage we had already seen previously. However, the ones that are probably of the most interest to movie fans include Kenneth Branagh’s Thor, J.J. Abrams’ Super 8, and Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
For both Super 8 and Transformers, it is basically the first time we get to see any real footage from the movies, since both of them had previously released only announcement trailers of sorts. Transformers offers up yet another patented Michael Bay montage of pulsating metal, explosions and sparks in slow-motion, while Super 8 definitely plays up the Spielberg influence without revealing much of the mystery. As for Thor, it seems like this movie is only losing marketing momentum as Captain America is gaining it. Which Super Bowl trailer impressed you the most? Posted by rus in chicago on February 7th, 2011Well… I liked the Super 8 trailer a lot! Feels very much like a Spielberg movie, with the kids running around and everything. I got an E.T. / Goonies feeling, which is definitely not a bad thing.

Thor & Cowboys and Aliens are looking pretty cool.
