A new episode of The Movie Club Podcast should be coming before the end of the month, but in the meantime, here’s a little something extra to tide you over. The guys from Sound on Sight were kind enough to invite us to join them on their own podcast for a little discussion about David Cronenberg. Specifically, we decided to talk about two of his most well-known ’80s movies: Videodrome and The Fly. How could we say no?
Sound on Sight is based in Montreal, so clearly it was only fitting that we discuss a Canadian filmmaker, and we are all Cronenberg fans (as it turns out, their show was previously called “The Naked Lunch”). In addition to putting out two podcasts a week, they also have an on-going series called Sordid Cinema, where they look at more extreme and obscure genre films. Definitely worth checking out! The podcast only runs about an hour long, which is a nice change of pace for us.
