New To Theatres This Weekend: Machete, The American, Going the Distance
The fall movie season kicks off this weekend with a handful of interesting releases including the Robert Rodriguez Grindhouse spin-off Machete and Anton Corbijn’s The American starring George Clooney. Also hitting theatres this weekend is the fiction filmmakng debut for American Teen director Nanette Burstein with Going the Distance starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long. In limited release we have The Winning Season starring Sam Rockwell, and Zhang Yimou’s wacky re-envisioning of The Coen Brothers thriller Blood Simple, entitled A Woman A Gun and A Noodle Shop. What will you be checking out this weekend?

Posted by Drew on September 3rd, 2010I was hoping A Woman, A Gun, and A Noodle Shop would have popped up around here this weekend, but ala, it did not. Guess it’s Machete and maybe The American this weekend then.
