First Official Photo of Chris Hemsworth as Thor
With the release of Iron Man 2 just around the corner, Marvel have decided to unveil the first official photo from their next major comic book movie: Thor. Chris Hemsworth stars in the title role as Thor, son of Odin and Norse god of Thunder. He does look pretty bad ass in this pic, although I’m not a big fan of the portrait orientation as opposed to landscape. Come on, Marvel… seriously. Smarten up.
It has been said that Thor will be a totally different kind of comic book movie, but will that turn off the general public? Either way I’m certainly looking forward to something really epic. I just hope his armor glows like Zeus in Clash of the Titans. Check out a bigger version of the photo after the jump and sound off in the comments below.

Looks totally badass and exactly like the comic book. The leaked photo of Destroyer looks great as well.
Hope they don’t dumb down the gore though. I want this to be bloody!

I hope his cape really is that red, it contrasts well with his dark steel armor.
