The Human Centipede Trailer

humancentipede

I first started hearing rumblings about The Human Centipede coming out of various genre festivals sometime last year, and all of the comments seemed to imply the same thing: this is one of the most demented and disturbing horror films to come around in a long while. I had been a bit apprehensive about digging deeper to find out more about this flick, but now that the first official trailer has arrived online, I couldn’t resist. Be warned… if you’ve got a weak stomach, even a description of the plot might be too much for you. If that is the case, stop reading now!

The set up seems similar to movies like Hostel in that it follows two girls who are traveling through Europe. One night in Germany, their car breaks down during a storm in the middle of nowhere, and they seek refuge in a nearby villa. Little do they know, the man who took them in is a retired surgeon who has a unique fantasy: to construct the world’s first human caterpillar by taking captives and surgically connecting them mouth-to-anus! Apparently this is the first in a trilogy from Dutch artist and filmmaker Tom Six (the full title is The Human Centipede: First Sequence), and IFC will release it via VOD on April 28th, and in select theatres on April 30th. Will you brave such a sick and twisted proposition? Check out the trailer after the jump, and if you think you can handle it, watch a few more clips here.

  1. Seems like an odd release for IFC.

  2. Sort of, although recently they did Dead Snow, Pontypool and Anti-Christ. They seem to pick up the stuff that no one else will touch.

  3. IFC have been putting out some really good dvds like pontypool, i sell the dead, and in the loop. I don’t know if you guys have review In The Loop but if you haven’t you should.

  4. what the fuck?

  5. LOL.. I cant wait for a scene where the first guy has to take a dump..

  6. Being the head of the centipede doesn’t seem like such a bad thing. :-)

  7. I wish I could unsee that.

  8. 100% medically accurate? lol eww

  9. What an odd trailer. Gave all the exposition and a glimpse off what seems like all of the scenes. The only reason to watch now is to see the longer version of what we just saw.
I imagine it’s hard to make a horror trailer. On the one hand, you have to bring people in, but you don’t want to give away all your thrills.

  10. what…the…fuck??

  11. hmm….

    hm…..

    hm….

… i paused it right in the middle.. This looks Good i ll save it for the theater..

lets hope there is something more to it other than high Concept..

For some reason it reminded me of that movie… ”Teeth”

    same repulsive felling i guess..

..who ever thought of this, by the way .. is one sick mother***ker..

  12. @Reed..

Probably that seat is taken by the doctor..

  13. hahahahaha Reed

  14. I was skeptical at first before I saw it but I found it to be really well made and well written. While the subject matter is disgusting it’s never exploitive.
And the Dieter Laser as the doctor is awesome. AND there is a scene where the first guy has to take a dump.

  15. where did you saw this movie Swarez?

  16. Last year at a film festival.

  17. Jesus Christ I bet this guy wanted to do an art installation with real bodies but knew he would go to jail so he made a movie instead. By the way this was filmed with the same technology that James Cameron employed and will be screened in 3d

  18. It was great to hear the actors talk about having to be strapped to their co-actors asses for hours on end. Fortunately there were no gas related incidents on set according to the director.

  19. Over at Movie Blog they’re bashing this movie like crazy and calling anyone who’s interested in seeing it an idiot, so its nice to see people being civil over here. This movie is getting tons of buzz in the horror community but I’m not quite sure I want to see it. Looks good but there are some movies that are just plain disturbing and this looks to be one of them. I’ve seen my share of them before and sometimes its hard to unsee them afterwards. But knowing me I’ll probably cave and end up watching it :D

  20. The Movie Blog is a child that doesn’t know its dick from its thumb.

  21. This film is in no way gory. It’s just very disturbing. And that’s why it’s getting all the good buzz.

  22. Swarez sees all the good movies. :/

  23. i ll be disappointed if there is no scene where the crazy(?) scientist is stitching the girls face into that other girls ass.. … ..

  24. Now if there were still only 5 nominations for Best Picture, this movie wouldn’t have a chance, but now, anything is possible!

  25. It won horror best feature at Fantastic Fest, also best actor as well.

  26. Henrik’s post about the Movie Blog made my day

  27. I’d say any jabs at TMB are always welcome here.

  28. oh, i get it. they’re in germany. and the germans love their shit porn.

  29. I don’t get why the concept is scary at all. It’s almost comical, it’s like a satire of creepy horror movies by having a premise of a doctor sewing someone’s face to another’s anus that it’s so ludicrous.

Oh, and it’s some sort of scat porn movie that just happens to be filmed in Germany. For once I’d like an American film portraying a German as something other than a Nazi or some fetishist whose fingers are caked in scat.

  30. I am really looking forward to THC. I doubt it will be released in theaters or get TV commercials but boy is this a demented concept.

  31. Laugh if you want, but I honestly did not know that the plot of the movie (which I heard about months ago) involved surgical procedures connecting mouths to anuses until I read this article.

    EW! Gross.

I really have no desire to see this; it just seems nasty. The clips are disturbing and the plot synopsis on Wikipedia reveals the most depressing ending! (It reminds me of some Stephen King book plot that also gives me the heebie jeebies.)

  32. I think the scariest thing about that trailer is the acting.

  33. I’ve seen it. Its good, better than many commercial, studio horror films *cough* remakes.

The Human Centipede (First Sequence) Diagrams and Hi-Res Photos as well.

  34. ewwww thats disgusting what happens is he feed the head guy food then he poops it into the middle girls mouth then she poops into the end girls mouth.. ugh D: people are so sick and twisted its ..UGH

  35. This movie lost me with the girls going inside the crazy doctor’s house. I mean, really, if I broke down, and a demented-looking dude like Deiter answered the door, I’d be like, “Oh shit, man, I’m sorry, I thought this was Fred’s house,” and then I would go next door. He doesn’t look friendly at all. I’m sure it just gets more retarded from there. Leave your brain at the door for this one. I think I will pass this one (no pun intended).

  36. IFC always has different films that are instant classics!

  37. eeew! eeew! eeew!

you would’nt want to watch this movie the night before having plastic surgery!!!!!

is the next part in the series called”Leap Frog?” LOL!

  38. Wow. That’s about all I can say after watching the trailer. I’d heard about it in my Communications class. Everyone thought it sounded sick and…they’re right. But I ended up laughing at the end of the trailer. It’s so typical that someone has this incredibly stupid idea and a really crappy script but they know someone with even worse taste and they get it made…And it ends up on IFC. Yeah. Got it. I just have to have really shitty taste in script writing and I, too, can make a film.

  39. verry disgusting, but for an american horror, are we surprised. same kind of sickness as the hostel films.

  40. OMg saw this today……………..some people are so screwed huh?

Wish I could unwatch it too – it’s like 6 hours later and I still feel sick?

What happened to number 2do you think?

  41. Ok. This does not bode well for the human race that a movie like this will make it to the big screen. Maybe the world should end.

  42. ewwww what the hell is this
