The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Trailer
Like it or not, the third installment in the wildly popular Twilight series is quickly approaching, and is scheduled to hit theatres just seven months after its predecessor. The first teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has arrived online, and to the untrained eye (or perhaps the trained one as well) it basically looks like a rehash of the last film. Bella is still caught in the middle between the aloof yet alluring vampire Edward and the hunky yet controlling werewolf Jacob.
The twist this time around seems to be that a vampire named Victoria is intent on hunting down Bella. You may recall that Victoria was played by Rachelle Lefevre in the first two films, but due to a scheduling issue she was unceremoniously dumped from the franchise in favour of Bryce Dallas Howard. I’m a little curious to see if director David Slade (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night) can bring something unique to this movie, but I suspect I already know the answer to that question. I movie-hopped to “New Moon” back when it was out hoping maybe it would be one of those so-bad-it’s-good films or, hell, a so-bad-it’s-hilarious–I would’ve been happy with either. But instead it was a so-boring-that-the-two-hour-runtime-felt-like-five sort of bad. Wah-wah.
