Clint Eastwood To Make J. Edgar Hoover Biopic

Clint Eastwood’s next directorial gig (no, not Gran Torino 2) is said to be a biopic of the notably controversial FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. With a script penned by Dustin Lance Black (Milk), the film has been developing over at Universal by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment. Seeing as how Eastwood’s production company is based at Warner Bros., you can bet your bottom dollar the project will land in their hands. Alongside Grazer and Eastwood, Malpaso Productions’ Robert Lorenz will produce.
A quick history lesson:
“Hoover was instrumental in founding the FBI in 1935 and turned it into an efficient crimefighting organization. He remained its director until his death in 1972, but his sculpted persona was already coming apart at the seams; he employed the FBI to harass political activists and used illegal methods to make secret files on leaders. Many biographies also assert the man was a closeted homosexual and cross-dresser.”
The man’s life story should make for a good film, especially with Eastwood on board. Just about everything he does is stellar, so I have little doubt in regards to this project. The Oscar-winning director, in post-production for Hereafter, worked with Imagine Entertainment on 2008’s Changeling. Fun fact: Warner Bros. hired Hoover as a consultant in 1959 for The FBI Story and the ABC series The F.B.I.

DiCaprio’s about as deep as a bird bath —and Eastwood
continues to bore us with one drab PC piece of cultural
cannabalization after another.
Meanwhile, Hollywood, having made BILLIONS upon BILLIONS unflinchingly catering to the franchise slum denial needs of history’s –MOST– awesomely genocidal regime —ACROSS the Pacific (70 million exterminated in ‘peacetime’ unoutted and unanswered for -FACT-)
once again ‘mysteriously overlooked’ the 60th Anniversary of the staggeringly relevant KOREAN WAR
–even as millions continue to suffer and die.
SORRY CLINT! —NO MORE TIME FOR YOUR PC SET-UPS!

Sounds interesting… Though seeing a flick about J Edgar also sounds really boring and or depressing…. That being said every movie done by Clint has been grand (leave out some of the Dirty Harry sequels). He seems to widen his scope with each film. In short he is the kind of director/actor that could make any script into an interesting film.
p.s. Someone tell ebar hart to lighten up.
