The Griswolds Return for HomeAway’s Hotel Hell Vacation Ad
If you’ve been holding out hope for another National Lampoon’s Vacation movie featuring the Griswolds, well here’s more proof that Super Bowl advertising money can make anything happen! HomeAway have created a sequel in the form of an a 14-minute “mini-movie” entitled Hotel Hell Vacation starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo. Cool idea, right? Or maybe it’s just plain sad.
Either way, with Chase making his comeback on Community, and D’Angelo’s recurring role on Entourage, perhaps this will be enough momentum to finally get that rumoured big screen sequel off the ground. In the meantime, you can watch all 14 minutes of Hotel Hell Vacation embedded after the jump.

If they can get a better Rusty than this commercial, I’d be down for it. Vegas Vacation is a lot better than people give it credit for.
Posted by Jonathan Sullivan on February 9th, 2010Man, Chevy has really gotten old… well, I don’t want another VACATION-movie even though regarding to the arithmetics it would have to be a good one (1 and 3 being good, 2 and 4 being not that good). If they’re doin’ another one it would be a straight-to-DVD production as Chase won’t get the audiences in the theatres… I mean nowadays people don’t even know him anymore. I guess you’d have to recast it with Ferrell in the lead to actually earn some money with the Grosworld-franchise again.
