Gekko was sure in prison for a long time for a white collar crime. It might looks alright, most people aren’t sure about Shia Labeaof but he’s just the young Charlie Sheen rookie this time around. Otherwise, it still has Michael Douglas, Oliver Stone and picked up Josh Brolin.

I’m still concerned how an old fart relic from the 80s could possibly think he has any relevance or clue how to make money in a new millennia, the market has completely changed. I do like how the trailer pokes fun with just how outdated he is.

I’m surprised I’m the first to bring this up – Oliver Stone doing a film on current social psyche, conspiracy, powerful institutions taking advantage of common people – how can it be remotely bad, or not worth a see. Its in his wheelhouse!

in the first movie Gordon Gekko turns out to be like the ‘Bernie Madoff’ of the 80s. So a 23 year prison sentence isn’t that crazy.

i dont know to what extent people will warm to this movie due to the current economic climate…or they could be making it relevant…getting rich while everything else is going to shit. still – i loved the first one so im looking forward to what they can do with this..esp. oliver stone. im pumped for that.

I’m likin’ what I’m seein’ here. The Beef is a pretty solid follow-up protege to Charlie Sheen in the first film. Oliver Stone’s so damn iffy but I never felt he was completely down for the count. Hopefully he knocks this one out of the park.
