Clash of the Titans Trailer #2

With so many other new trailers debuting this week, the latest trailer for Louis Leterrier’s Clash of the Titans almost got lost in the shuffle. It has plenty of new footage featuring all kinds of crazy mythical creatures plus a various shots of Sam Worthington flying through the air from different angles! I don’t really have much to say about it, but I suppose it looks decent. For some reason I’m just not that excited for it… if anything it almost looks like too much action.
Interesting to note that this will be Sam Worthington’s third major role in a blockbuster action movie over the past two years. He kinda came out of nowhere, but he’s quickly becoming a star. It should be interesting to see what he does next. If this movie does well, you can bet that a God of War movie is just around the corner. Check out the trailer after the jump or watch it in HD over at Apple.com.

This looks like it’s going to be even less faithful to the original myth than the first one. I hope that crap music is just for the trailer.
Posted by Your Mom on December 18th, 2009i think this movie will be a very fun experience! i love the creature designs. the production value, special effects and everything looks very impressive as well. stoked for this!
Posted by Napalm on December 18th, 2009count me stoked as well, looks much better and funner than percy jackson. i also repeat my love for the used’s the bird and the worm, great tune (although admittedly used in quite a lame way in this trailer).
RELEASE THE KRAKEN! (john arne riise)
Posted by AlexG on December 18th, 2009I only noticed 2 instances of him jumping(to be fair though, those are the only 2 moments in this trailer to give me pause, the rest looks outstanding)
Posted by Ben on December 18th, 2009This looks great, lots of creatures, Sam Worthington and Ralph Fiennes. It can’t be that bad.
But Pirates 2 ended its amazing trailer with the guy yelling “Summon the kraken” and that movie turned out to be a bag of shit with a lame kraken. The ending of this trailer gave me bad associations.
Posted by Henrik on December 18th, 2009huh didnt 300 already come out?????
Posted by paulie on December 18th, 2009Looks like fun but can anything top Ray Harryhausen? I mean the fighting skeletons come on…
Posted by xego on December 19th, 2009I didn’t notice Bubo at all. Hope its in there.
Posted by Tommy on December 19th, 2009I love it when people describe any of the POTC movies with terms like “bag of shit.” I don’t know what world you live in where all those movies weren’t great. Where the standard of film making is apparently soooo high that they could conceivably be described as anything less than above average. Eh… Sometimes I think people enjoy internet bitching more than they do films.
Posted by Ben on December 19th, 2009I laughed at parts that werent meant to be funny, but thought other parts were awesome. I’d be up for it.
Posted by Goon on December 19th, 2009I wasn’t too impressed with the new trailer…especially the Medusa. Kraken looks cool, though.
Here’s a little article on it between the two versions with some visuals. You have to agree Medusa looks pretty bad.

Posted by bubo on December 19th, 2009Music us really bad… Cheesy epic metal music lessens the impact of the trailer. Visually it looks wild, i’m sure the trailer is not indicative to the finished product (score wise that is)
Posted by Daemon on December 20th, 2009Looks pretty cool, count me in.
So is Worthington just penciled in for every big blockbuster action film now? He’s like the white Vin Diesel from a few years ago, except he can sort of act.
Posted by KeithTalent on December 20th, 2009Between this and Prince of Persia I’d put my money on the latter. Even though Pirates 2 & 3 (from the same people) were two “bags of shit”.
