The whole ghost sub-story was chliched and didn't fit in well for me, while some secondary characters (Corsicans) felt underdeveloped. Overall though, I really liked it. Great visuals, compelling story and quality acting all around (particulary the 3 mains). Not sure if it is better than The White Ribbon as I have yet to see that (hoping to later this week) but it is an excellent prison drama with very solid performances throughout.
