Movie Poster Round-Up: Iron Man 2, Tron Legacy, Avatar

Time to take another spin around the web to dig up some of the new movie posters that have been recently released in digital form. This week we kick things off with a pair of Iron Man 2 posters, one of which gives us our first real glimpse of War Machine. Simple, effective… but not terribly exciting.
Some other new one sheets include a slick Tron Legacy teaser, the official poster for Noah Baumbach’s Greenberg, and one final Avatar IMAX poster. Ultimately, however, nothing can compare to the beautiful artwork created for Nanny McPhee 2 and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Now that’s something you want to get framed. Which one is your favourite? Take a look at all of the pretty pictures after the jump.

I hate avatar poster..
it looks like a bad Renaissance painting..
its just too old fashioned and conventional while in contrast the movie is supposed to be groundbreaking..
i think Cameron just lost his magic touch.. he is about to give us his first colossal Bomb.
Posted by kyriakos on December 9th, 2009What do the Chipmunks have to do with LiteBrite!? STOP RUINING MY CHILDHOOD, HOLLYWOOD!
Gotta love the tagline for “Red Mist”, too.
Posted by Falsk on December 9th, 2009I’ve been saying that Avatar will bomb big time for over a year now. These days before the premier don’t make me thing otherwise.
Posted by swarez on December 9th, 2009I’m afraid that the Wolfman will bomb as well.
Sadly the Chipmunks sequel will be the biggest money maker of all of these.
Agree with kyriakos… The avatar poster is horrible… They should not even made this one at all. It is in my opinion damaging to the movie. … I wonder how nervous the studio is.
The Greenberg poster is the best poster designed here.
Posted by Big Hungry on December 9th, 2009Not much out there.
Posted by Ian on December 10th, 2009Tron has the best poster from the lot. was expecting something better from Avatar! that was pretty weak. also, i’m fucking sick of Kick-Ass!
Posted by Napalm on December 10th, 2009Throw some dolphins in that Avatar poster and you’ve got something. Hesher is my favorite out of this bunch of posters.

I think in contrast that may of been what they were shooting for. i mean the renaissance was a turning of an age. Maybe that’s what this movie will do. S modern day starwars.
my favorite was warlords. whats hesher about, it looks like a metallica over
Posted by Rick on December 10th, 2009Avatar just looks worse and worse. I’m not even sure if I’ll go see the movie anylonger. Everything about it just screams ham&cheese.
Tron Legacy however just keeps looking better. A must-see of 2010. Same goes for Kick-Ass!
Posted by Kasper on December 10th, 2009I remember people talking about how James Cameron’s Titanic movie would be a flop and sink. I am very curious to see how Avatar does. Next week is the week and the poster here is bad and the theme song is bad. I am not seeing it midnight, but I will check it out. Looking forward on the podcast on this one.
Posted by BigHungry on December 10th, 2009Even if the movie does not bomb after all.. This poster it is still the queen of kitschland and always will be.. I hope the actual movie is not that uninspired.
Rick.. you do make a valid point mate.. but i am not sure though if they thought this so thorough…
Anyone knows if Avatar is going to be an R rated movie?
Posted by kyriakos on December 10th, 2009It’s PG-13.
Posted by Sean on December 10th, 2009all this talk about avatar i think really does prove that it will make a pay back. it’s like tiger woods, everyone is talking about that
but let’s focus on the important movie now folks.
THE SQUEAKQUEL IS OUT!!(i am so kidding)
