Smallville: Absolute Justice TV Promo

As you may have heard, there is a two-hour Smallville TV movie airing on The CW next year called Smallville: Absolute Justice. It will feature another team-up between Clark and various other superheroes; in this case it is members of the Justice Society including Stargirl, Hawkman, and Dr. Fate. This follows up on the popularity of episodes in previous seasons entitled “Justice” and “Legion”, which introduced characters from the Justice League and Legion of Superheroes respectively. DC writer Geoff Johns, who penned Legion, has also returned to write this episode. Tom Welling will direct along with Glen Winter.
A short promo spot for the episode has recently aired on The CW network, and although it doesn’t show much, I thought a few people out there might be interested. They have also released a couple of photos of the new heroes, and I have to admit, for a show that strictly avoided tights and costumes in the past, they’re certainly not shying away from it this time. Will you be tuning in for this episode? Smallville: Absolute Justice will air on February 5, 2010; check out the promo after the jump.

To be honest, up until about a month ago I thought this show had been off the air for at least 2 years.

They’d probably be better off just doing direct to DVD feature films at this point anyway. People only care about the episodes with other superheroes in them.
Posted by Sean on November 30th, 2009Smallville is still going strong! It beat ABC and FOX in the “adults 18-49″ demographics this October and has a huge cult following. Just ask around, you’ll be surprised how many Smallville DVD junkies there are. It’s currently in it’s 9th season. Clark has become a full-time super hero, he’s wearing the Superman S symbol and kicking some major butt.

Posted by Falsk on November 30th, 2009The fact that they’re doing this as a movie and that Smallville may be wrapping up after this season, this smacks of a possible spinoff – or spinoffs, if they decide to base series’ around individual characters instead of a team based show.
Posted by Brendan on November 30th, 2009Those are some ridiculous looking costumes. I don’t think Hawkman would scare a two year old with that getup.
Posted by Maopheus on November 30th, 2009it’s a TV budget you moron
