Patiently in waiting for the past year or so. I’d like some updates. And yeah it won’t be the same without Mako, but I’d rather see an ending for Jack’s story than just leave such an amazing show hanging in space for the rest of my life…

The current date is March 7th 2011 and I have just finished watching all of these shows researching all the Samurai Jack information. I want more! I was appalled to find out it was canceled in 2005 and that Mako (Aku) died in 2006. If they do a movie (which it would be such a shame NOT too) I hope they at least try and synthesize Mako’s voice or something. I remember seeing this show when I was in college some 6 years ago being mezmorized at it’s subtlety, emphasis on sounds, being lulled into my roommates room by the awe of the simplicity yet brilliance of this tv show. The first episode I saw was the Minions of Set.
The sounds, the dialogue, everything. Where this show lacked in artistry it made up tenfold in storyboard, storyline, and character development. Characters didn’t merely talk to fill a 30 minute gap – when they spoke they had purpose. The show had such a hypnotic pace (most of the time) it was a pleasure to watch it.
I’m a 27 year old personal trainer and mechanic and i f-ing hate cartoons.. But i LOVE Samurai Jack.

Since Mako did recently pass from this world, they could get the person who’s voice replaced his on Avatar: the Last Airbender.
