Chris Elliot does offer a great brand of oddball humour. I used to love Get A Life back when it was on. Really surreal comedy, and I think he started the character dying and reappearing in the next episode thing years before Kenny in South Park. The only show that had a similar brand of humour was The Adventures of Pete and Pete.
