If you put a gun to my head…
1# goes to Michelle Yeoh because of her body of work and longevity.
2# Mila Jovovich because I think she could probably kick anyone else’s ass on this list except for Yeoh, Yanin and Carano.
3# Zoe Saldana because she looked the part in “The Losers” and “Columbiana”.
#4 Jeeja Yanin is a rising star in the Asian female action movie genre. Check her out in “Chocolate” and “Raging Phoenix”.
5# Gina Carano is the real deal as a former MMA fighter. If she works on her acting and picks the right scripts…
5# Kate Beckinsale because she at least is more convincing as a bad-ass than Jolie or Thurman.
6# Rhona Mitra only because I still have a crush on this sexy looking Brit babe!!!
7# Angelina Jolie looked smokin hot as Laura Croft, even though I thought Mitra would have done a better job.
8# Sigourney Weaver should have stuck to playing the sweaty, super tuff action heroine because then she’d still have a career…
9# Carrie Anne Moss as ‘Trinity’ set a high bar for acting, screen presence and believability for all female action stars.
10# Michelle Rodriguez has the potential, if given the chance to become a credible action star.

This was tough…I had to give it to Uma Thurman because of the Kill Bill’s. Certainly not for “The truth about cats and dogs” I really love the Kill Bill films although I don’t know what sort of career she will have without QT? Angelina’s action films are mostly shite! I didn’t think that Zoe Bell’s acting really worked in “Death Proof” but I give her credit for being a stuntwoman.

Gotta give it to Jovovich. She’s done action movies pretty much exclusively over the last 10 years. Michele Yeoh would probably win if it was a cumulative thing, but she hasn’t done much that I can remember in the last few years.

Angelina Jolie and Uma Thurman? They’re about as believable as action stars as Stephen Fry is as a straight man or Clive Owen as a nice guy.

Back in the day Michelle Yeoh did much of her own stuntwork, but she has shown some range out of the action/martial arts flicks.

I think Zoe Bell has done all here stunts and a majority of what she does on film is action orientated. I’m sure they have battle scars than all the other women on the list combined.

Every other girl on this list aren’t action stars, I’m sorry. Looks like the bar has been lowered to make the list though.

Just because Rhona was in awesome in Doomsday doesn’t make her an action star, does it? Like most people, I haven’t seen Underworld 3 though. So I may eat my words there.

Lucy Liu and Uma has Kill Bill, but nothing else worth noting. Not even the Charlie’s Angels shit films.

Yanin could be the next big asian chick action star though. Only 1 film to based that on.

I had to go with Milla Jovovich on this simply due to the fact that all she does is star in action films. Most of the other actresses have a bit more range and are noted for other types of films. Milla FTW!
