Tune In for Film Junk’s Live 2012 Podcast This Sunday at 8 pm EST

It’s been a while now since we’ve recorded a live version of the Film Junk Podcast (I believe the last one was the borderline disastrous Star Trek episode featuring Reed Farrington!) but we always enjoy the unpredictability of a live broadcast and also having the chance to interact with you guys directly. With the release of Roland Emmerich’s 2012 this weekend, it feels like an event that needs to be celebrated in a very big way. So, with that in mind, we’ve decided… fuck it, we’ll do it live! Here’s all the info you need:
Film Junk’s Live 2012 Video Podcast
Sunday Nov. 15th @ 8 pm EST
Broadcasting Live on Ustream
As always we will be taking questions from the chat room in the latter half of the show, although if you have questions or topics you would like us to discuss, you can always e-mail them in ahead of time to filmjunk@gmail.com. Hope you can join us for what it is sure to be a podcast of apocalyptic proportions!

the show’s gonna run over curb and bored to death? nooooo
Posted by mitch on November 12th, 2009Awesome! I’ll be there.
Posted by Kasper on November 12th, 2009Here’s hoping Reed is invited to join. If he is I just might give up my Colts/Pats tickets for Sunday night. A live, unfiltered Farrington will surely have more offensive firepower than Petyon Manning and Tom Brady.

Posted by Hannes on November 12th, 2009Hi, mitch
Bored to death season 1 has been over since last sunday, only 8 episode, too short too short
Posted by Xu on November 12th, 2009I’ll be there =)
Posted by Primal on November 12th, 2009Bloody hell! I have tickets to a free screening of “The Road”! Blegh.
Posted by Falsk on November 12th, 2009Since Film Junk doesn’t have the resources for implementing a time delay to accommodate bleeping, I think I’ll be simply manning the chat room so as to prevent me from accidentally revealing any spoilers for 2012 like the fact that the Mayans return at the end of the movie and restore the Earth. Ha ha. Actually, the camera pulls back at the end of the movie to reveal that the planet we watched being destroyed isn’t really Earth. No, wait. At the end of the movie, two survivors remain and their names are Adam and Evelyn (the daughter of the John Cusack character). No, I got the ending. After the surface of the Earth is utterly ravaged, the camera pulls back through the clouds and the scene transitions to everyone wearing togas in heaven.
This Hollywood film has to have a happy ending, doesn’t it?

Don’t be an asshole.

Posted by Napalm on November 13th, 2009awesome, I’ve been waiting for another live one. I’ll try to see the movie so I’m ready for it.
Posted by joe on November 13th, 2009I just wish I could go see Patriots-Colts.
Posted by Henrik on November 13th, 2009@Henrik, I took projectgenesis’ comment as a compliment. I don’t mind the good-natured ribbing. It was a good sports analogy.
Actually, I don’t understand why a lot of people like the McCoy character in Star Trek when he was often an a**hole to Spock. Yeah, I know it was good-natured ribbing, but I think Spock often got really annoyed.
Posted by Reed Farrington on November 13th, 2009Well, my asshole comment was regarding him waiving those tickets in my face so nonchalant… Giving them up to hear Filmjunk live… pfft.
Posted by Henrik on November 13th, 2009Meh. I just hope you guys do another live one before the end of the year…. please?
Posted by Falsk on November 13th, 2009@ Henrik, I honestly didn’t think anyone here would give a Sh$% about an NFL game. I thought it would get about as much of a reaction as an Icedogs reference from Greg.
@Reed took the comment exactly how it was meant to be taken.
Posted by projectgenesis on November 13th, 2009I am a big Baltimore Ravens fan.
Posted by Henrik on November 13th, 2009quick question: what time is 8pm EST in Britain? 12AM?
Posted by Megan on November 13th, 2009Megan, I believe we’re 5 hours behind you. So Sunday 8 pm our time is Monday 1 am your time. Hope you can stay up and join the conversation in the chat room.
Posted by Reed Farrington on November 13th, 2009Thanks Reed, I’ll definately try!
