I agree, there isn’t much of a plot. I was hoping for a little more, but it’s still an interesting curiosity.

i just recently watched this for the first time. i wasn’t really blown away by it, there isn’t just not that much happening. i watched it with a friend who just bought the dvd and he was absolutely raving about it. he saw it in the 80ies in the cinema, then in the gdr, who normally didn’t show western cinema, but i guess they include australia into the west. i grew up in west germany and have never heard about the movie before. so i asked some other friends, who grew up in the gdr, and everyone strangely knew it and still loves it. but without this nostalgia factor i didn’t find it very interesting.
