I’d have gone with “My Neighbor Totoro” over “Princess Mononoke” and “Spirited Away”. It was the first anime I ever saw and it really influenced my interest in the genre.

Ninja Scroll isn’t that great imo. On this list I’d go for Grave of the Fireflies. I expected Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind on this list too tbh, but you probably didn’t want too much Miyazaki on the list.

Meh. Mononoke > Spirited. By a long shot. But that’s just me. I saw “Metropolis” when I was 15 and all I remember is being really depressed after watching it… I think I had issues with the animation, too… but I’m sure it’s worth a watch.

Spirited Away is probably the best on the list, but I voted for Grave of the Fireflies since I didnt think anyone else would. One of the saddest films ever of any genre.
