New To Theatres This Weekend: Michael Jackson’s This Is It, Boondock Saints II, The House of the Devil

After a couple months of jam packed theatrical releases, the multiplexes are fairly quiet this weekend with the exception of the Michael Jackson concert film This Is It. No one wants to go up against it because it is expected to make so much money, and apparently it already set a record for a Tuesday night opening in October (which probably isn’t saying much). Troy Duffy’s Boondock Saints sequel is also out in limited release this weekend, and in just a handful of theatres we have Ti West’s horror throwback The House of the Devil and Jared Hess’s latest comedy Gentlemen Broncos (hopefully both will expand soon). Will you be seeing any movies this weekend? Are you in the mood for horror or has Jacko Fever taken a hold of you?
- Michael Jackson’s This Is It
- The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (limited)
- The House of the Devil (limited)
- Gentlemen Broncos (limited)
- How to Seduce Difficult Women (limited)

Posted by linda on October 30th, 2009Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT is an incredible and brilliant movie. You just cannot deny his talent. Forget the hype, forget the scandal, Michael Jackson at his core was special and out of this world. Everything he does/did turns to gold at one point or another. Just look at the collectibles market now too. Some rare and hard to find Michael Jackson collectibles have taken quite a jump
