Ernie Hudson: Ghostbusters 3 Coming in 2011
It’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with all the stuff that’s “officially” being said about Ghostbusters 3. Whenever someone new speaks up, whatever comes out is entirely different from what the last person said. Heck, even from day to day, the same people change their statements on whether or not the movie is actually happening or not. Stop confusing me already!
The latest to chime in is the fourth Ghostbuster, Ernie Hudson, who assures us that Ghostbusters 3 will indeed happen and not only that, but the movie will be ready by 2011.
“Ivan [Reitman] said its going to happen and if anybody knows, he does. I think probably we’re going to shoot in the fall, this is what I’m told, and it’ll probably come out in May, 2011.”
So there you go, ladies and gentlemen, Ghostbusters 3 is starting shooting this fall and will be ready by 2011! That is, until tomorrow when the next official word appears that there will be no movie or that they aren’t sure of whether or not any of the cast will actually return. However, I think this is the first time Hudson has spoken out about the movie, so this is slightly more legit than the 100th confusing statement by Bill Murray. There was an article in the Kingston ON paper where Akroyd is from and he said that it is a go and that they will be filming part of it in Kingston. SO anyone who wants to get in with that coke snorting crew you know they’ll be in Kingston.

Heck this year on April 1st they announced from Sony that they are making a Ghostbusters 3 and quote that it isn’t an April fools joke. Ivan Reitman has already confirmed on Oct.10-2009 at a Spanish place that Ghostbusters 3 is on it’s way and it is and everyone is in. All of the Original GB’s. Dan already confirmed that May 2009. Ivan has already confirmed that to and Ernie to. Stop having doubts about Ghostbusters 3 because it is coming a year eariler May 2011 instead of 2012. Ernie didn’t know what date for May but we will know when GB3 gets closer for a May 2011 release. Ivan told ernie on Oct.18th that Filming will began next fall of september 2010 for a May 2011 release and yes Production will began this Winter of 2009 but they still have to wait for Sony but it’s already moving forward before Sony tells them. Ivan said that Sigourney Weaver is back on board which I’m pleased about. She’s my #1 favorite Actress! Harold,Dan,Ivan and Ernie likes the GB3 script a lot! Bill has seen some of the script but not the whole thing yet and he will like it to and Annie will to! Is this enough proof or what!

If the visuals are that good maybe we could have Cameron and his team step in and show us some youthful looking ghostbusters the way I remember it. I have nothing against old people, but I’m not sure how convincing they can be 20 years later. The dynamics and jokes will all change for this 3rd one.
In the beginning of Ghostbusters 2, you see how Ray & Winston have to be at children’s parties to make ends meet, Peter capitalizing his fame to do a psychic show. That type of beginning for a movie way past overdue is perfect. Should of saved it for part 3.
I’m sure that it will still be NY-centric too because ghosts can only appear in such a place. I’m obviously skeptical of a 3rd film that should of been made like 15 years ago.

I just finished playing the game on xbox 360 and it defenetly left me wanting more ghostbusters. but it was a game, if they had used the same scriped or ideas in a movie it would have been a flop, We don’t want that.
