Since Toy Story 2 Pixar has made: Monsters inc, finding nemo, incredibles, cars, ratatouille, wall-e, and up.
I have no problem with them returning to Toy Story after 6 movies. Now if they were shitting out up2 right now, I’d probably be saying that is crap. But I think they have earned the right to make another sequel, especially since this will only be the third sequel they’ve made to their collection of films.
Pixar has created some wonderful characters and I’m excited to see the return of some of them. Now bring on Monsters inc 2!

I will defend this sequel for a second. Do we really NEED any movie? Did we NEED The Dark Knight? No… it wasn’t needed, but there was a new story to be told there. As long as the story is somewhat interesting (and I do think there’s something there for this movie), I don’t see any real reason why we don’t need a Toy Story 3. Why the Fuck Not, you know.

I don’t know, just some of the sadness and stuff is kind of corny, and those clips of Andy as a little kid and then showing him leaving for college is kinda cheesy. But I guess that can’t really be avoided. I mean you have to admit that song from Toy Story 2 is pretty damn sappy. But like I said before, i’m sure it will still end up being good I mean these movies were a big part of my early childhood so I have a big soft spot for them, so i’ll probably be there opening night no matter what.

I’ll be the first to bitch ;D Not really bitch I guess, i’m a big fan of the first 2 and all of Pixars films. But I have to say, this looks a little bit… sappy, and maybe even… cheesy But nonetheless I’m sure it will still be fun.

The reason no one is complaining is because Pixar has been making near-perfect movies for 10 years now, with their absolute worst being Decent and every other one pretty much being close to perfect. After 10 years, they ahve yet to really dissipoint. That’s why no one is bitching.

I went and saw the Toy Story 1 & 2 3d release since I’d never seen either in the theater (and I had time to kill that day between a job interview and an event). Of all the 3d animated films I’ve been to (about half a dozen) those have been the least affected by the tinting of the glasses.

Man, I liked the original premise better, I think.

Do we need a Toy Story 3? (Or a Cars 2 and Monsters Inc 2, for that matter) Who’s we? If you mean Disney execs’ pockets and their lack of extra monies, then yes. We do need Toy Story 3. For the same reason we needed the 3D double feature. Milk it, baby!

Whatever, you know it’ll still be better than a lot of other shit this summer… next summer? Summer 2010. I mean, what ELSE are we going to see with no Transformers movie in theaters?
