read the life and morals of jesus of nazareth by thomas jefferson. he rewrote the bible basically and did away with the dogmas and supernatural events. so give moses and rocket launcher and call it even.

Agreed, Prince of Egypt is the best version of the story so far. I’m a big fan of that movie (and it’s one of the last 2d animated movies now that I think about it).

Hey.. the story of Mose in the hands of an Atheist good director could be a really awesome movie..

You know.. go into the needy greedy and explore why Mose had to invent the 10 commandments in the first place.. Show how douchebags humans can be without the present of THE LAW.

I am a pretty blatant atheist, but I think Prince of Egypt is great. The miracles are a great spectacle. You just need extraordinary visual effects (PoE had it), great cinematography (PoE had it) and an amazing score (PoE had it). I doubt it will be anywhere near as good. You’d also have to top Fiennes’ Ramses, and Kilmer’s own voice being god, representing a dad moreso than a god.
