As with anything, you need the hero to be well understood by the person who is writing it and if Geoff Johns is involved, all will be taken care of. And if goddamn Battleship is getting green lit, I guarantee The Flash will see the light of day within a couple years. I think I remember comic books from the 70s where they raced each other lol. Aside from Superman/Batman/Green Lantern DC doesn't have any characters I'd pay to see in a film. Marvel totally dominates the superhero lineup IMO.
