I know you guys have some resistance to commenting on classic films since “what left is there to be said?”, but my question is are you a fan of the films of Billy Wilder (director of Sunset Blvd, The Apartment, Double Indemnity, Some Like It Hot, The Seven Year Itch, The Lost Weekend)? My personal favourite of his would be Ace In The Hole.

Also, I’m just hearing on the news now something about Mel Gibson being arrested for a DUI… I’m eagerly awaiting to hear about any more anti-semitic tirades.

Salva is a FAR worse offender than Polanski IMHO, and he’s still free to work! Read his case and contrast it with the odd filmic choices he made in Jeepers Creepers 2 and Powder. Chilling stuff. I actually own Clownhouse and only recently found out about the heinous shit that went on with the 12 year old star of that film.. Very Creepy…

I tried to post some interesting stuff on Jeepers Creepers director Victor Salva and it keeps disappearing, so I recommend you guys google him and read the first few pages about his prior legal troubles. Should make a good discussion in contrast with the Polanski stuff…
