Open Call for Junk Mail for Next Week’s Film Junk Podcast

Hey guys, we’re going to be pre-recording next week’s episode of the Film Junk Podcast tonight since I leave on Saturday for a two week trip to Japan. We’ll be reviewing Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story, but aside from that we don’t have much planned since we just recorded our most recent episode last night. Considering that we haven’t really done a “Junk Mail” episode in a while, we thought we’d throw it over to you guys and ask for your input.
That’s right, once again we’re asking you to send in any questions, suggestions and potential topics for discussion to filmjunk@gmail.com, or simply post them in the comments below. We’ll gather them up and respond to as many as possible later tonight (although the episode won’t be posted until the weekend). If you’ve sent a question in previously that we didn’t get to for some reason, feel free to send it in again. Just make sure you get it in sometime before 9:00 pm EST tonight. Thanks!

Can you give us an update on the Movie Webmaster Big Brother ? Did you survive the nomination you mentioned a couple of podcasts ago ? Also, can you let us know how the new Cantankerous is coming along ? Thanks.

^you can find out the Big Brother details by following the Film Rot podcast at filmrot.com
Posted by Goon on October 6th, 2009What was that? All I read was, “Neener, neener, I get to go to Japan for two weeks and you guys don’t.”
I actually don’t have any relevant questions, as much as I love hearing my words coming out of Sean’s mouth… Maybe The Het can just record a half hour long special for tonight? Pretty please?
Posted by Falsk on October 6th, 2009The Het must read this.
My question is when will Jay unleash his true personality to the world, since he always mentions how his podcast personality is so different from his real one.
And when will Greg invite one of his girlacquaintances to participate on the show?
Posted by Henrik on October 6th, 2009Sean and Greg, are you afraid of Jay?
Posted by Matt on October 6th, 2009Henrik: It’s all a lie. I am but one personality.
Posted by Jay C. on October 6th, 2009And bring Singe back at some point for crying out loud
Posted by Henrik on October 6th, 2009Reginald VelJohnson played a cop in both Die Hard, and in the show Family Matters. Assuming this was the same character, would you be interested to see a crossover story at some point that has Steve Urkel team up with John McClain?
Posted by Nick D on October 6th, 2009do you guys have some sort of blocker for certain words or what? I tried to post some interesting stuff on Jeepers Creepers director Victor Salva and it keeps disappearing, so I recommend you guys google him and read the first few pages about his prior legal troubles. Should make a good discussion in contrast with the Polanski stuff…
Posted by Fatbologna on October 6th, 2009Salva is a FAR worse offender than Polanski IMHO, and he’s still free to work! Read his case and contrast it with the odd filmic choices he made in Jeepers Creepers 2 and Powder. Chilling stuff. I actually own Clownhouse and only recently found out about the heinous shit that went on with the 12 year old star of that film.. Very Creepy…
Posted by Fatbologna on October 6th, 2009Gosh, I might be late,
anyway, still want to ask what’s your favourite Monty Python movie since the 40 years anniversary is coming very soon
Posted by Xu on October 6th, 2009Aww, that would be a good one. Some of the sketches were far better than anything else though. Ex-parrot? SO GOOD.
Also, I’m just hearing on the news now something about Mel Gibson being arrested for a DUI… I’m eagerly awaiting to hear about any more anti-semitic tirades.
Alas, I think you guys just finished recording, though.
Posted by Falsk on October 6th, 2009No, never mind. Stupid news anchors and their over-hyping of stories.
Posted by Falsk on October 6th, 2009I know you guys have some resistance to commenting on classic films since “what left is there to be said?”, but my question is are you a fan of the films of Billy Wilder (director of Sunset Blvd, The Apartment, Double Indemnity, Some Like It Hot, The Seven Year Itch, The Lost Weekend)? My personal favourite of his would be Ace In The Hole.
Posted by Glendon on October 7th, 2009You guys should do another live show soon
