Marvel Is Not Enough… Stan Lee Wants DC Comics Cameos!

stanleedccameo

Stan Lee, the co-creator behind such Marvel figures as Thor, Iron Man, Daredevil and Spider-Man, has had cameos in just about anything and everything coming out of Marvel with regards to feature films. However, that isn’t enough for the godfather of comics. No, Lee now wants to reach for the sky and start expanding his choice of movie roles to those outside of Marvel franchises. It’s time to go DC style!

Lee came forward with his wishes in a Tweet on his Twitter account, where he stated: ”Wouldn’t it be cool if DC gave me a cameo in their next Batman movie! What are you waiting for? Start a letter-writing campaign!” Even though it is highly unlikely that he will start showing up in DC properties as well, he did do some work for the company back in the day. Still, it was nothing near the height of his work at Marvel, and hardly enough for him to get cameos. Then again, it probably was just a joke from his side, but hey, it’d be cool if it came true… he’d certainly be the undisputed king of cameos!

  1. Stan Lee – should have cameos in all movies… that would be awesome. Even digitally put him in old ones…12 angry men… gone with the wind… wizard of oz… passion of the christ…. snow white… Steamboat Willie

I like that idea and someone should at least do some scenes and youtube that.

  2. Adam West should have a cameo in the next Batman movie

  3. If I see Stan Lee in the next Batman movie, I’m gonna shit.

  4. i agree with phil

colin do you mean shit as in “wow that’s awesome and hilarious”

or shit as in “what the fuck is this”

  5. That’s Stan the Ham for you!

  6. Rick,

Sitting in my own poop in a crowded movie theater sounds neither awesome nor hilarious to me.

  7. prolly no chance in hell this will happen. But Marvel might have some of their characters being wholly owned by Dynamite if they lose the Kirby lawsuit and the laywers get their way.

Plus both DC and Marvel just plain suck right now. Batman is basically in an event-mode with Grant Morrisson at the helm which luckily ends next year with Bruce Wayne coming back. Superman is in limbo and Green Lantern might get a b-grade movie in 2011 with the overrated Ryan Reynolds after the Blackest Night (Blackest Invasion event ends in Spring of next year).

Marvel just sucks being run one guy and the man he listens to (Brian Bendis and Joe Quesada). Th e Disney thing can only go so far because the government has to approve all that junk at the end of this year/beginning of next year. If it doesn’t go through they have to face off against the Kirby family by themselves and also their movie properties are being endangered due to the lawsuit’s copyrights. A very complex problem.

Who knows which company will be left standing after all this is said and done as it will take years to sort out with Superman and Kirby lawsuits.
