I thought the Trek fan films were very good, trumping alot of TNG’s episodes, so not all fan films are bad.
This looks ok, certainly not as bad as fan fiction, they have to follow the screenplay, so they can only visually mess stuff up.

Fans films can be fun and in some cases, pretty well made. This is the flip side of that – complete shit shot by nerds with video cameras for nothing more than the purpose of self gratification. What a load of bollocks.

I don’t think that this has the artistic merit of something like Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated. This just seems like a bunch of yahoos with cameras filming their nerdiness. And where I’m not too far removed from that group, I think that this project could have been approached differently to make it more worthwhile for the artistic and film communities, respectively.

This idea would work much better I think if each fan took one scene, not some arbitrary time, so that styles change mid-scene.

Looks pretty messy (expected ofcourse), but I can definitely see the idea improving over the years.

On the topic of fan films, has anybody checked out the Lord of the Rings fan film: Hunt For Gollum?

While the film itself is wholly un-enjoyable as an entertainment piece, it may find traction in the medical and/or military fields for the ability to induce epileptic seizures upon viewing.
