I think John Turturro should tell the Choen’s and their egos to “get lost”. UNLESS they are willing to PLEASE THEIR ULTIMATE FANS and do a sequel (with Jeff Bridges & rest of the cast) to “The Big Lebowski”. It is the Choen’s FANS that made them rich & sucessful. THE FANS SHOULD COME FIRST! But then again, if the Choens are not into it, maybe they should just give John Turturro the rights to write & direct the sequel for Big Lebowski/Dude fans. Probably end up a better sequel then the Choens could come up with anyways. I haven’t seen ANY movies they done since Lebowski nearly as good. IMO. You think the Choens would GET A CLUE and realize which movie has THE BIGGEST FOLLOWING. Duh!

Barton Fink is one of the best movie about Hollywood, though I don’t think the sequel would be a good idea since the ending is pitch perfect for the original.

This excites me to no end. Barton Fink is my favourite Coen Brothers movie.

At first, I thought it wouldn’t be a good idea to do a sequel due to how abstract and surreal the ending is. But an old Fink… I really see how that could work. It would be a whole new chapter of his life, and it would be a new era. Who knows if he would even still be a writer.

I agree it is a film you need to see a couple of times to fully appreciate. My initial confusion was paired with the desire to figure out all of the backstabbing scenarios.

I think of all the Coens films, Millers Crossing is one of the few set-up for a sequel. The time period after prohibition…does Gabriel Byrne’s character (Tom Regan) take over one of the mobs?

Could another Miller’s Crossing help explain the first one to me? I haven’t seen it since the theatre, but I remember being thoroughly confused.

what needs to be seen is another installment of Miller’s Crossing!

I agree with the Coens; The Big Lebowski love is way over the top and not even close to there best work.
