Will There Be A Kick-Ass Sequel?
The answer is: YES! Or well, maybe.. Perhaps? If the comic’s writer Mark Millar gets his way it will be a yes, and Millar is very certain that he’ll get just that. He is actually so certain that Kick-Ass will be a box office hit that he doesn’t think there is any need for Marvel to hesitate and wait to see if the first movie is a success before greenlighting the next. He even goes so far as to say that the movie will go into production within two years from now, with the explanation being that he doesn’t want to sound cocky but he knows that the movie is really good and it didn’t cost much to make — which makes it a given that there’ll be another one.
But even though Hollywood does indeed love cheap movies that generate big money, I doubt that Millar’s prediction about the movie being a smash hit will hold up. The concept is weird and I doubt it’ll fit all that well for a mainstream audience, but perhaps the name will be enough of a draw, who knows?
Millar has also mentioned that the end of the movie will be tailored for a sequel, so I guess these plans have been in his head since the beginning. The comics also did the same thing though with the first leading up to the second, so I guess it kind of is a given for the flick. What do you think, are you even interested in the first Kick-Ass, let alone a sequel to it?

I saw the footage at Comic-Con, and I can say that I have complete faith that what Millar says is absolutely true. It was easily the best footage I’ve seen all year.

It has plenty of action, just enough love, and a plot of mystery that leaves you hanging up until the very end! And I have to say that even though the star was Kick-Ass, Hit Girl stole the show. The best performance I’ve seen from an 11 year old girl, and probably better than most adults! I really loved it, and I am REALLY hoping there will be a sequel! I would definitely recommend you to go see it. It’s absolutely worth the time and money.
