Great review. Anything that gives more credibility to the original vision that Korine has, is fine by me.

If he can make Werner Herzog play a psychopathic father in one film, and an eccentric pilot an another..that’s one example of his range, and sensibility.

Hope he never stops making films, as I will never stop watching them.

Solid review Jay. You deal with any initial prejudices and possible criticisms and then proceed to give your take on why you enjoyed it. I would probably find it funny in the same way you did (like an episode of Metalocalypse or something). Maybe if adult swim picks it up as one of their live action series I’ll check it out. Perhaps that is what awaits it in the future.

I think paulm has a point, Jay. Personally, I prefer the more politically correct term, “crapflatulence.” (Note that the ‘p’ is silent, or perhaps it’s very faint.)

From what I’ve seen and heard I can imagine this movie being much like Cloverfield and Blair Witch in more than the stylistic aspects: Once I see it, I’ll probably never want to see it again.

I’ll know for sure if a DVD ends up on Netflix. Otherwise, I won’t even bother. I’m past watching films merely for weirdness and shock value.
