Now that the summer is over and most of the major blockbusters are behind us, it’s time to look ahead to the theatrical releases that are planned for the fall season. You can usually count on an interesting mix of genre flicks, art house films, and a few big special effects vehicles to round out the line-ups, and this year is no different. So which movies are you looking forward to between now and the end of 2009? Cast a vote for your favourite in this week’s poll and then sound off in the comments below.

Of the ones above, The Road, but above any of these, An Education (love Peter Sarsgaard) and Brothers (loved the Danish original and the American cast).
Posted by Ashley on September 10th, 2009Probably The Road. Still interested in Avatar though, just to see if it will be anything special.
Posted by RaphNL on September 10th, 2009Sherlock Holmes looks like a ton of fun and I am a sucker for Downey Jr.
Posted by Kasper on September 10th, 2009dunno if excited about any but most interested in Avatar cos of all the hype…could it actually be good?
Posted by t_0 on September 10th, 2009If “Where the Wild Things Are” sucks I’m going to be sooo disappointed! I’ve been watching the trailers since March! Ugggh.
2012 is going to be stupid fun and I may be the only excited for “Fox”. It’s stop motion!
Posted by Falsk on September 10th, 2009I said Zombieland…Sue me.
I’m going to see most of the other stuff as well, but gotta love the Woody.
Posted by Bob The Slob on September 10th, 2009Avatar by far. I’m sorry, but the first James Cameron sci-fi movie in nearly 2 decades is infinitely more exciting to me than a feature length adaptation of a book that’s 20 words long.
Posted by bullet3 on September 10th, 2009Alright. What sap voted for New Moon? C’mon, fess up.
Posted by Falsk on September 10th, 2009Does A Serious Man not count as a fall movie or something? Anyway, I voted for Fantastic Mr. Fox because I’m a card carrying Wes Anderson whore but I’m equally interested in Where The Wild Things Are and The Road. I’ll also be seeing Avatar.
