First!!
Also, no reviews? Well I’ll throw one out. Taking Woodstock sucked.
Posted by ovenball on August 31st, 2009Best in the podcast
Posted by BigHungry on August 31st, 2009“The Fatchelor”
They should call the show “Chubby Bunnies”
Posted by Hero Supreme on August 31st, 2009Sean, NCIS is a spin-off of JAG, not CSI. The show got kick started via the main stars of NCIS appearing on 2 episodes of JAG with them helping out on a case. I think it is the same deal with NCIS: LA.
Posted by Kasper on August 31st, 2009Ah okay, gotcha. I thought it was some CSI spin-off that had to do with the navy or something. I don’t watch any of them so I have no idea.
Posted by Sean on August 31st, 2009Havent’ listened to this yet but I’m suprised you guys didn’t see Halloween 2.
Posted by Rusty James on August 31st, 2009Episode was gold! But no mention of Dexter season 4 and Californication season 3?
Looking forward to Greg’s TIFF reports. Also, are you (Sean) and Jay doing short video reviews like you did with Sundance with the TIFF movies?
Posted by modesilver on August 31st, 2009I will be watching Dexter season 4.
Not sure about the TIFF video podcasts. We are trying to pack a lot of screenings into just a few days so I don’t know how much time we’ll have for it.
Posted by Sean on August 31st, 2009Good podcast!
Just remembered something from the last podcast where you guys talked about Poutini’s in Toronto. I actually went there and the poutine was good, but not really worth the extra trip if you’re short on time. You guys should go to Craft Burger on King st though because their burgers are some of the best in Toronto and their poutine is awesome as well!
Posted by Niklas on August 31st, 2009Puke Larry. Classic.
Posted by JY on August 31st, 2009tom cruise in collateral is top 10 performances i’ve ever seen
Posted by mitch on August 31st, 2009YAY! you answered my e-mail! thanks sean and jay for your suggestions on watching the films ahead of the meeting/ synching our spares/ dropping out or just killing myself!
LOL
Posted by James on August 31st, 2009FUCK! If Reed isn’t stepping up, I WILL BUY THAT PS3 IN A HEARTBEAT! (Assuming shipping isn’t astronomical..)
We just got a brand-spankin’-new 46″ LED TV and my dad is asking me to get a BluRay player… and if I could get a backwards-compatible PS3 from a good home, I would be sooo happy…!!!!
Posted by Falsk on September 1st, 2009just wanted to say that we got those DVD red-boxes out here in Houston. Its pretty awesome. A dollar a day, if you keep it for 2 weeks, they just charge you like $30 or something for the DVD.
But I’ve never kept one for longer than two nights.
The system works cause they are recent releases (with the random “oldie”, like Slevin) and they are freaking all over the place out. There are three of them within two blocks of my house (I live near a busy corner) at the Walgreens drug store, Krogers Supermarket, and the Valero gas station, and another one a few more blocks out at McDonalds (apparently one of the major investors in the Redbox.)
Posted by joypog on September 2nd, 2009finally found a trailer to Escape To Athena.

Is The Chronicles of Riddick : Assault on Dark Athena the prequel?
sonny bono and Edward Anhalt. nice.
Posted by kris on September 3rd, 2009You guys said that Avatar started shooting last year.
Just so you know:
Production started 4 years ago!
Posted by Billy Boyd Cape on September 6th, 2009Shooting started in 2006.
Cameron started work on it and has been creating ideas around it for (he says) 14 years, and it has been a thing he has been desperate to do since he finished Titanic.
You guys “nay-ed” FlashForward, but the show’s been gaining interest amongst people. I checked out the first episode and it definitely is engaging. Sean, at least you should check this one out.
Posted by Napalm on October 3rd, 2009I did watch the first episode. It’s better than I thought it would be, but reminded me a little too much of Jericho, which could be a bad thing IMO.
Posted by Sean on October 3rd, 2009I haven’t watched Jericho so the concept is still fresh to me. I can see it hold my interest for at least the first season. Dunno where it’ll go after that.
Posted by Napalm on October 3rd, 2009Anyone having issues with getting this episode to download? It keeps showing up as having a problem with downloading on my RSS.
Thanks.
