The final weekend of the summer is a horror battle between Rob Zombie’s Halloween II and David R. Ellis’ The Final Destination, two movies that are reportedly neck in neck in terms of audience awareness and anticipation. Will the extra cash from the 3-D release put The Final Destination over the top? Elsewhere Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock is in a large number of theatres as well, while the well-received documentary The September Issue, Robert Siegel’s Big Fan and the comedy Mystery Team are playing in only a few. What will you be checking out this weekend?

  1. I so hope H2 is Number 1 But hear’s how this weekend’s Boxoffice should go down-1.H2 with $41.2 million,2.FD4.$17.5 million 3.IB $14.5 million, but that’s wishfull thinking and Film Junk’s last review of Halloween (2007)was Sad,i don’t know why people bash that movie i think it’s a Masterpice, John Cappenter love’s Zombie’s take on he’s 78 classic,so take that hater’s!.

  2. Look’s like Final Asstination will be number 1! this just mean’s most of the movie going public are Dick-eater’s.
