Have We Reached The Final Destination?

Yes indeed we might have — that is, if you choose to believe the film’s producer Craig Perry, who in a recent group interview explained how the movie was decided to be the last. With that, it was named The Final Destination, a title adding only confusion to the franchise, with the first and fourth entry being almost identically named.

The movie, which was at one point supposed to be called Final Destination 4: Death Trip 3-D, had too long of a title the marketing team thought, and so it was mentioned by someone having seen Fast & Furious that they should go the same route, keeping it simple, also mentioning that it would have a nice double meaning, with the movie most likely being the last in the series.

And so it was decided, the movie got named The Final Destination and it will be the last in the line, or will it? Not if you listen to the film’s director, David R. Ellis, who calls BS on Perry’s comment. Ellis, who also directed Final Destination 2, is quite confident that if the movie makes what the studio expects, then there will be another one, and another one after that too, in a never ending cycle.

So in retrospect, what did we learn? Absolutely nothing. Or at least not something we didn’t already know. The Final Destination is the fourth movie in a franchise which will continue onward with sequel after sequel long into the DVD realm until the day it is rebooted, which I’m guessing will be around 2025-ish.

  1. FD3 was ok but i’ve seen the trailer once for this bullshit, the first two sucked so much ass it’s not funny FUCK anyone who see’s this over Halloween 2.

  2. Zzzzzzzzzzz….just not exciting any more.

  3. The name of this movie needs to be the least of there worries. This film is nothing more than a 3D cash grab and in my opinion down along side – fast and the furious 4, F13th remake, dragonball and street fighter as the worst movies of the year.

  4. Fuck all thoes asshole’s who when’t to see FD4 OVER H2.

  5. Go Ahead and Envy Final Destination, Guys.

It’s doing better than Halloween II. That movie was way ahead of its Glory Days. And besides, Rob Zombie is leaving the Halloween “franchise”, which, in my opinion, is the only reason you shitheads enjoyed it in the first place.

FD Rules, and Fuck anyone who watches Halloween II

  6. Why are People so fucking DUMB? they go and see Final Destination 4! FUCK-HEAD’S. H2 RULE’S.

  7. All the Final Destination films are pretty much the same as the first. If you’ve seen the first, you’ve seen them all.
