In case you haven’t heard, Steven Seagal is a full-fledged deputy sheriff in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. What this means is that he gets to ride around in a cop car, wear a badge and put his aikido black belt to good use by intimidating and/or amusing the local criminals. Some brilliant soul came up with the idea to turn this situation into a reality show called Steven Seagal: Lawman, and guess what? It’s actually coming to A&E this fall!

The idea is apparently so awesome that A&E has even filed a lawsuit against some other company who claim that they came up with the concept first. Guys, please… let’s not fight over Steven Seagal. There’s plenty of him to go around. A&E recently released a promo for the series online, and it looks pretty amazing. I can definitely see myself PVRing the first two or three episodes of this before the novelty wears off and I forget it ever existed. Will you tune in? Check out the promo after the jump.
