SO Where was The Alien “INTRUDER” Enemy Of G.I.Joe? lol It was a line of lil’ beefcake Figures released back in 76′ when Joes were temp. reduced to only 8 inches and renamed Super-Joe,Also included Chest Lightbeam (think Ironman! lol)

@ Greg – I don’t know anything about this meet-up either. I was invited last year and didn’t go, and then I was invited again this year. I guess it’s okay if I give out the info, I’m sure any film lover would be welcome. It’s Monday, September 14, 2009, 6:00 PM,
Duke of York Pub, 39 Prince Arthur Avenue. I don’t know if I’ll be going, I don’t know many others who are going other than a few Film Junk and Row Three writers. Maybe though.

@ Greg – didn’t attend Che or any TIFF screenings last year, probably not again this year, but I might be going to a meet-up with a bunch of other film bloggers on the Monday night. I saw “filmjunk” on the guest list.

So was that you sitting in the upper deck last Friday, along the third base line? I should have come and said hi. Oh well, maybe next time.

@Ashley – If I’ve learned anything from my times in Toronto it’s that you should always approach strangers and ask about podcasts. If you see someone that looks like me at TIFF next month approach him and say ‘do you appreciate Bon Cop Bad Cop waaaaaaaaay too much?’

Actually, we should compare schedules once we pick our films and see if in fact we do share a screening or two. I seem to remember bailing on the Che screening you were at last year….

OMG Greg, I saw a guy who looked just like you at the ballgame on Friday, but I thought it would be weird to go up to a complete stranger and ask him if he had a podcast. But I guess it really was you!

Jay, baseball is NOT boring, Torontonians just don’t get it. It’s a hockey town, I understand that, but it’s sad and lonely here for hardcore baseball fans. All six of us! Blue Jays fans drive me insane, but I can’t do much to keep them from coming to drink and smoke and scream like idiots.

Lastly, I gotta defend zip.ca. I’ve been a proud and loyal member since the company’s start up in 2004. There is a way around not getting the movies you want right away, you just have to micromanage your rental queue. Dedicate five minutes a week to keeping your list up to date, and you’ll get exactly what you want every time.

I fell asleep during the second minute of Pirates 2 and woke up for the final minute. Those 2 minutes were pretty good!

It is a really bad time for movies because now the studios are not even letting the Stars carry films anymore, or, actually the public has lost their trust of stars. Everything is based on branding and concept. D9 for all its originally, I feel, will not break through to the level a lot of people hope. They should of named it “Mork from Ork: The Fight to Go Home”
