Where The Wild Things Are Full Theatrical Trailer

wildthingstrailer2

The full theatrical trailer for Spike Jonze’s Where The Wild Things Are hit the web this week, and if it wasn’t already the most anticipated movie of the year, this trailer pretty much clinches it. It features plenty of new footage including a lot more scenes with the Wild Things themselves and dialogue with them as well, featuring the voices of James Gandolfini, Catherine O’Hara, Lauren Ambrose and Forest Whitaker. It also sets up Max’s life in the real world (with Catherine Keener playing his mother), which will most definitely tug at your heartstrings.

They continue to use the Arcade Fire song “Wake Up” in all of the advertising, which is the perfect song if you ask me. Not only does it appeal to the hipster art house crowd that follows Spike Jonze, but it captures the feeling of child-like wonder and the emotional journey that the movie looks to encompass. Where The Wild Things Are hits theatres on October 16th; check out the new trailer after the jump.

  13. Once again Shut Up Ed continues to be a complete buzzkill. Anyways, one of the coolest things about this is that the kid in this movie is so likeable. Usually little kids are painful too watch in movies, but i like this guy.
