I was really underwhelmed by “Funny People.” It was extremely self-indulgent (look how cute my kids are & look how hot my wife’s ass looks in tight jeans!). The moment we got to Leslie Mann’s house – I completely tuned out and stopped caring about Sandler’s plight. I wanted to love this movie, but it was mediocre at best. Laughed a few times, but not as much, and didn’t find the drama to be all that realistic or remotely moving.

James Taylor was quite funny, with the two lines he had.

I liked Funny People quite a bit, though have to echo the length complaints. The parts at Leslie Mann’s house seemed particularly flat compared with the rest of the film…

It was actually still my favorite of Apatow’s films. I was never a big fan of “Knocked Up” or “40 Year-Old Virgin.”

I enjoyed most of Funny People, but it’s certainly my least favorite Apatow flick.

funny people was amazing. it was hillarious. he only complaint i have is that it was way way way too long
